Our Lady of Sorrows Young Adult Ministry

Welcome to Our Lady of Sorrows’ Young Adult Ministry, also known as OLS YAM, and thank you for your interest. Our vision is to walk with each other in our faith journey as we grow spiritually and personally. Our mission is rooted in the mission of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church which is as follows:

"Our Lady of Sorrows Church is a Catholic, faith-filled community united and founded on the teachings and love of Jesus Christ to serve the needs of all parishioners and, through its ministries, to foster and nurture their growth in faith.

Our Lady of Sorrows Church believes in stewardship as a way of Christian living. As stewards, it is our responsibility to give back to God the best that He has given us, by giving of our time, talent and treasure.

As a unified and welcoming parish of the Universal Church, we reach out to all of God's people through education, through social action, through worship and through proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
 

   Through the Young Adult Ministry, you will have the resources to become a steward. In this ministry we will be participating in:

• Social Ministry, Such as OLS’ Food Pantry, Feeding the poor, Community Clean ups
• Fellowship and Faith Based Activities, Such as Faith sharing groups, Bible Studies
• Praise and Worships
• Mentoring to the Youth in our parish by helping with Youth Ministry and Confirmation as well as Religious Education

   It is my responsibility to help you find the right group that will allow you to grow in your faith. This ministry oversees small groups that are associated with the Young Adult Ministry. Each group will have a purpose, vision, and plan that allows participants to foster and nurture their growth in faith. If there is a group that you would like to start, for example, a Young Professionals Group please let me know and I will help you gather your resources and people.
